Re-launching a cancelled show

If I was to bring back a show that was cancelled I would choose SMTV Live. This was a Saturday morning live show originally hosted by Ant&Dec and Cat Deeley. They hosted interviews, competitions, sketches and broadcasted popular children's shows of the time. The ratings of the show decreased after Ant&Dec left and then Cat Deeley left. With no original hosts it was no where near as popular. With the original line up many sketches ran across every week.

Examples include 'Dec says, the secret of my success' (Which was about the hosts when they were in high school), 'The further adventures of Cat the Dog' (Cat Deeley's high school self), Pokéfights/Pokéraps (fighting as Pokémon characters and singing about Pokémon - usually with celebrity guests) and the many parodies including 'Chums'. They parodied many other shows such as: Casualty, Bill and Ben, Harry Potter, Only fools and horses, the Vicar of Dibley, Art attack, Heartbeat and even Star Trek. Their most memorable parody was of Friends and it was called Chums. It ran every week and was filmed live.

All content of SMTV live (apart from dream sequences and kid's shows) was filmed live which made it more entertaining. If anything went wrong they used it to their advantage. The show was basically an opportunity for the hosts to be themselves and have fun with it.

I would bring it back with the same hosts because it was the sort of show that was controlled by the hosts. All of the comedy material, sketch ideas and such all came from the hosts and there should be more shows for kids that aren't scripted. I think Ant&Dec should re-do this show again on Saturday mornings. It should show current kid's shows that are all in the same comedy style, it should do phone-in competitions because that's not many shows do that anymore and the competitions on that show were fun for audiences. I think sketches should still be done as well because sketch shows are popular with kids at the moment. There are shows like 'Sorry, I've got no head' and 'Horrible Histories'.
