Words to describe my soundtrack
- Tense
- Frantic
- Dark
- Classic
My soundtrack will really help tell my story because there is no dialogue in the film. The music will portray the feelings of the film and reflect the actions and emotions within the film. Each section of music is going to be created for each scene of the film and the theme of each section will be represented in the music.
1 - Tense
-Live sound. There is no dialogue in my film but some live sound may be used. To make it tense I may use the sound of the echoing footsteps in the village hall scene.
- ADR/Foley/SFX. There will be some sound effects used. Most will be recorded at the shoot and dubbed onto the clips. For example, a door slamming for creating a tense feel.
- Music. There will be music used to create the primary tension. For the finale of my film there is a slow beat track that keeps it very quiet and disturbing.
- Ambience. There is not ambience sound used to create tension because silence creates tension.
2 - Frantic
-Live sound. There is no live sound for the frantic themes because I do not need them. There aren't any frantic sounds that fit the situation.
- ADR/Foley/SFX. There are also no sound effects etc for this section because they are not needed for the theme.
- Music. This will be the primary soundtrack for he tense section of the film. I will be using a more frantic version of the main theme music of the film. It will include glockenspiel, strings and piano
- Ambience. There is no ambience sound for this, it is all controlled by the music.
3 - Dark
- Live sound. There is no live sound for this section, I will be using dark music.
- ADR/Foley/SFX. There are no SFX to create a dark feeling.
- Music. The music will be a deep waltz, and be slower for darker scenes. There is also a lullaby song that is fairly dark and also gets darker as the story does.
- Ambience. There is no ambience to make a dark feeling. There is a lot of small silent bits which do create a dark feeling.
4 - Classic
- Live sound. There is no live sound that creates a classic feeling.
- ADR/Foley/SFX. There are no SFX that create a classic feeling.
- Music. The music I am using is a Waltz for the main theme, that is altered for different scenes. There is also a lullaby that is also altered at certain points. Both the waltz and lullaby give the film a very classic feeling.
- Ambience. There is no ambience that create a classic feeling.
