Storyboards - Why they were not required
When planning my final project I wrote out my idea in script form and shot list form. After doing these I tried to start on some storyboards. But the shots that I had planned in my head and written about did not look the same when they were drawn. They frames didn't match up to what I wanted so I decided to use my written planning and mental planning for filming. Because I am the Director, Camera operator and editor I felt that no body else needed to know how the shot should be. I know myself how it should look, so from this perspective I found it wouldn't be practical to take time trying to get storyboards exact to how I wanted. I need to spend my time gathering/making props, meeting with the actress and working on costumes and equipment. I feel that my current amount of planning is enough to film and edit with ease.
